About the atlas: who publishes Rivoatlas and why

Updated 4 October 2026For readers in Ireland, 18+

Rivoatlas is a reference atlas of bookmakers licensed by the GRAI for remote betting in Ireland. It is published by IT PROFESSIONAL AND OTHER BUSINESS SOLUTION LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales. It is not a bookmaker.

What the atlas is

Rivoatlas is a reference atlas of remote betting licence holders under the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI). For each bookmaker in the atlas we publish the company that holds the licence, the licence number, the dates the licence was issued and expires, the trading names the register shows, and the date we last checked all of this.

The atlas currently has eight operator files. Each one also records what the bookmaker publishes for customers in Ireland: safer-betting tools, payment and withdrawal terms, the sports it covers, and how to contact it or complain. Where we could not find something on the bookmaker’s own pages, the file says “we could not confirm”.

We cover sports betting only. The GRAI has not yet opened licensing for online casino games, so the atlas does not list casino products, and we do not link to casino sections of any site.

Why it exists

From 1 July 2026, online bookmakers serving Irish customers have needed a GRAI licence. The GRAI public register is the only official list of who holds one, and it is organised by company, not by the brand name you see on a website.

In the register download we read on 3 October 2026, the Domain Names field was empty for every licence holder, so the register alone does not tell you which website belongs to which licence. For example, the register lists PPB Counterparty Services Limited under licence GRAI-1003-RB-26-0001 with the trading names Betfair, Paddy Power: several brands, one company, one licence number.

The atlas connects the three: the brand, the company behind it, and the licence record. If you want to do the same check yourself, the guide How to check a bookmaker’s GRAI licence walks through it step by step.

Who publishes it

rivoatlas.com is operated by IT PROFESSIONAL AND OTHER BUSINESS SOLUTION LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17296656. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

The company is responsible for everything published on rivoatlas.com. The atlas is compiled by a team working for it. We do not publish the names of individual staff, and the site does not use invented authors, experts or personas: where you read “we”, it means the atlas team.

Rivoatlas is not a bookmaker and does not hold a gambling licence. We do not accept bets, hold customer money or run betting accounts. The GRAI has not reviewed or endorsed this site, and the company has no connection with any regulator or public body in Ireland.

How we keep it current

We re-check every bookmaker in the atlas against the GRAI register at least once a month. In practice a member of the team reviews the register every one to two weeks, and an automated comparison runs daily and alerts us when an entry changes.

If a licence in the atlas is no longer shown as active on the register, we remove that bookmaker’s links at once and record the change on Register changes. The date of the last register check is shown on every operator file and in the register table; at the time of writing it is 4 October 2026.

The rest of an operator file — safer-betting tools, payments, support — comes from the bookmaker’s pages for Ireland. Each of those facts carries its source and the date we read it. Bookmakers change their terms without notice, so treat these dates as part of the fact.

What we do not do

  • No bets are taken here, no money is held and no betting accounts are opened.
  • We do not publish promotional offers, sign-up incentives or codes from bookmakers.
  • We do not publish predictions, odds for future events or betting advice.
  • We do not claim to have placed bets, timed withdrawals or tested apps. Scores come from published sources, as set out in the methodology.
  • We do not publish reader or customer reviews, and we do not quote app-store ratings.
  • Bookmakers lacking a GRAI remote betting licence are left out, and casino products are never linked.

How we are funded

Some links on this site are advertising. When someone follows one of our links and then registers with that bookmaker, the bookmaker may pay the company a referral commission. These referral payments fund the site; readers are never charged.

Commission can affect which licensed bookmakers have a file in the atlas and the order of the bookmaker links above the footer. It never changes a licence fact, a score, a weight in the methodology, or what we write when we could not confirm something. The full arrangement is on the Advertising disclosure page.

Corrections

If you find a fact that is wrong or out of date, write to support@rivoatlas.com or use the contact form. Please include the page and, if you have one, the source that shows the correct fact.

We check the report against the GRAI register or the bookmaker’s own pages. If the correction stands, we update the page and its date; if it concerns a licence being added, paused or ended, it is also recorded on Register changes. If we cannot confirm the report, the page keeps its current wording and we tell you why.

Is Rivoatlas a bookmaker?

No. Rivoatlas is not a bookmaker and does not hold a gambling licence. The atlas describes holders of GRAI remote betting licences; any bet is placed with the bookmaker itself, under its own terms.

Who owns the site?

rivoatlas.com is operated by IT PROFESSIONAL AND OTHER BUSINESS SOLUTION LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17296656. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

How do you choose which bookmakers to include?

A bookmaker must hold a GRAI remote betting licence and the site we link to must itself state that licence for customers in Ireland. The full rules are on the Methodology page.

Do bookmakers pay you?

Some may pay a referral commission when a visitor registers through our links. It never changes a licence fact or a score. See Advertising disclosure.
