Unibet operator file: GRAI licence, company and safeguards
Unibet takes sports bets from customers in Ireland on its own .ie site, operated by Platinum Gaming Limited under GRAI-0890-RB-26-0001, issued on 11 September 2026. Its safer-betting tools are documented in full; its money and complaint rules mostly are not, and this file says which is which.

Licence and register
Unibet is operated for customers in Ireland by Platinum Gaming Limited, which holds a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland: GRAI-0890-RB-26-0001, issued on 11 September 2026 and due to expire on 10 September 2029. Trading names listed on the register: 32Red, Unibet. You can look it up on the GRAI public register; we last checked it on 4 October 2026.
On the site we link to, Unibet states: “Platinum Gaming Limited … licensed and regulated by: (i) the GRAI in respect of customers located in the Republic of Ireland (licence number GRAI-0890-RB-26-0001 …)” (site footer of unibet.ie, read from an Irish IP address on 3 October 2026)
Irish terms: Version 1.7.6, last updated 28 September 2026; clause 2.2 shows the licence number as “[xxx]” (read them on Unibet’s site).
This file covers sports betting only.

Licence & register
7 out of 10. Platinum Gaming Limited is on the GRAI register as a Remote Betting licensee, with Unibet and 32Red as trading names, and the footer of unibet.ie, read from an Irish IP address on 3 October 2026, names the GRAI and the licence number for customers in the Republic of Ireland. The terms are current — version 1.7.6, last updated on 28 September 2026 — and the old Revenue licence number has been removed. But clause 2.2 now reads “licence number [xxx]”: a placeholder where the GRAI number should be (−1). The larger deduction is for the UK Gambling Commission’s £10 million penalty and warning against Platinum Gaming Limited on 22 October 2025, the same company that holds the Irish licence (−2).
Safer-betting tools
10 out of 10. Unibet’s “When to stop” page meets every point our method checks. Deposit limits can be set for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, with a separate net deposit limit; an increase applies only after seven days, a longer cooling-off than most. A reality check can be set to appear every 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Product block lets you shut off a product you do not want to use. Time-out runs up to six weeks and self-exclusion for between six months and five years. All periods are stated, and the page is on the Irish site.
Payments & withdrawal terms
3 out of 10. This is where Unibet’s public pages say least. Section 6 of the terms sends you to the cashier for payment methods, so we could not list them. The home page shows a minimum deposit of €10. The terms confirm that withdrawals return to the source of the funds (6.13), that Unibet may ask for documents and hold a withdrawal until checks are done (5.2), and that larger withdrawals, over €2,000, follow identity, age and address checks. No processing or arrival times for Ireland are published, and we found no statement on fees. Our method places a cashier-only list at 2–3; the published verification rules take it to 3.
Market coverage
6 out of 10. The unibet.ie sports lobby lists Racing, Football and Gaelic Sports among its main entries, with tennis, esports and politics further down, and In-Play and Bet Builder tabs. Racing scores in full; Gaelic Sports appear as one entry, so football and hurling are not confirmed separately. We could not confirm rugby or the League of Ireland by name, and we could not confirm cash out on the Irish site. The copy of the lobby we could read dated from earlier in the year, which is a further reason to treat this score as provisional.
Pricing
Not scored yet. Pricing will be the overround on one dated sample of identical markets taken across the whole atlas. It has not been taken, so the criterion is blank for every operator and its 10% weight is shared among the other five. Unibet’s 6.5 rests on those five.
Support & complaints
4 out of 10. One thing is clear: the help page says live chat is available 24 hours a day. Everything else our method looks for is missing from what we could read. We could not confirm the complaint procedure, its response times or a dispute resolution body for customers in Ireland, and we found no Irish phone number. The score rises if Unibet publishes these and we can read them.
How scores are built: Methodology. Commission never changes a score.
The company behind the brand
The licence holder is Platinum Gaming Limited. The GRAI register lists two trading names: 32Red and Unibet. The licence was issued on 11 September 2026, later than most in the atlas, and runs until 10 September 2029. The register shows the issue date only; it does not show when the application was made.
Unibet is the only brand under this licence with its own Irish sportsbook: unibet.ie serves sport directly, while 32red.ie forwards to 32red.com. This file covers Unibet’s sports betting for customers in Ireland and nothing else.
The same company was the subject of a UK Gambling Commission penalty of £10 million and a warning on 22 October 2025. That action concerned its business in Great Britain, not the Irish licence, but it was taken against the same legal entity, which is why it counts in the Licence & register score.
Older copies of the Irish terms named Kindred Group plc and an Irish Revenue licence, 1013174. Both references have been removed from the current version. We could not confirm the present group structure from the documents we read, so this file names no parent group. For how brands, licence holders and groups connect across the atlas, see Who owns which bookmaker.
Safer-betting tools
Tools listed by Unibet:
- Deposit limit (24 hours, 7 or 30 days) and net deposit limit; an increase applies after 7 days
- Product block
- Reality check every 30, 60 or 90 minutes
- Time-out up to 6 weeks
- Self-exclusion: 6 months up to 5 years
Set a limit before your first deposit. If betting stops being fun, the GamblingCare National Helpline is free and open 24/7 on 1800 936 725. Source: Unibet safer gambling pages, checked 4 October 2026.
Payments and withdrawal terms
We could not confirm Unibet’s payment methods for Ireland on its public pages; they are shown in the cashier after you log in.
Since 1 July 2026, GRAI licensees may not accept credit cards or offer credit, so debit cards are the card option.
How a withdrawal works at Unibet
- Verify. Unibet may ask for documents and hold a withdrawal until checks are complete; payouts over €2,000 follow identity, age and address checks.
- Request. Withdrawals go back to the source of the funds.
- Review. We could not find published processing times for Ireland.
- Payment. Methods, limits and timings are shown in the cashier after logging in (terms section 6).

Market coverage
Unibet runs its sportsbook on unibet.ie. The address we link to, unibet.ie/betting/sports/home, opened from an Irish IP address on 3 October 2026 and moved to the odds page on the same domain, without leaving the .ie site.
Entries we could confirm in the sports lobby:
- Racing
- Football
- Gaelic Sports
- Tennis
- Esports
- Politics
The lobby also has In-Play and Bet Builder tabs. The full A–Z we could not read: the copy available to us was an older snapshot, and a second visit from Ireland on 4 October 2026 did not complete. Rugby, the League of Ireland, cash out and live streaming are therefore listed as “could not confirm”, not as missing.
The atlas records what is offered. It does not publish prices, tips or previews of real events.
Pricing
Unibet’s margin has not been measured. When the atlas takes its pricing sample, Unibet will be checked on the same markets and at the same moment as every other operator, with the time of the sample printed beside the result.
The overround is the excess of a market’s implied probabilities over 100%, summed across every outcome. Bookmaker margins explains how it is calculated, with an imaginary market as the example, and why it describes the market as a whole rather than any single bet.
Support and complaints
Support: Live chat, listed as available 24 hours a day.
Complaints: We could not confirm the complaint procedure, timings or a dispute resolution body for Ireland.
Unibet’s help page lists live chat, available 24 hours a day. We could not confirm other channels.
We could not read a complaint procedure for customers in Ireland, so we cannot give its stages, response times or the name of a dispute resolution body. If you need to complain:
- Raise it on live chat and ask for the complaint to be logged, with a reference number.
- Ask where the complaint procedure is published and check the terms for any dispute resolution body named there.
- Keep the dates, bet references and copies of every message.
The GRAI’s complaints page accepts reports that a licensee has broken an obligation already in force; it does not settle individual disputes. Our guide Complaints about a bookmaker sets out the routes available in Ireland.

Before you join
Points to check before opening an account, from Unibet’s own pages as of 4 October 2026:
- Payment methods are in the cashier only. Log in and check which methods, limits and fees apply before you deposit; the public pages show only a €10 minimum deposit.
- No published withdrawal times. Unibet does not state how long a withdrawal takes for Ireland.
- Documents on request. Unibet may hold a withdrawal until it has checked documents, and withdrawals over €2,000 follow identity, age and address checks.
- A placeholder in the terms. Clause 2.2 of version 1.7.6 shows the licence number as “[xxx]”. The number in the footer, GRAI-0890-RB-26-0001, is the one that matches the register.
- Use the tools. The When to stop page lets you set a limit, a reality check and a product block in one place. A higher limit only applies after seven days.
Most bets lose, and each one costs money. Set a deposit limit and a reality check before your first bet. If you are worried about gambling, the GamblingCare National Helpline takes calls free of charge, day and night, on 1800 936 725, and the HSE Drugs and Alcohol Helpline answers on weekdays on 1800 459 459. See Responsible gambling.
