Ladbrokes operator file: GRAI licence, company and safeguards

Updated 4 October 2026GRAI register checked 4 October 2026For readers in Ireland, 18+

Ladbrokes serves customers in Ireland through LC International Limited, holder of GRAI-0622-RB-26-0001 since 1 July 2026, under a set of terms written for the Republic of Ireland. This file separates what those Irish terms confirm from what the shared UK and Irish sports page leaves unclear.

Licence and register

Ladbrokes is operated for customers in Ireland by LC International Limited, which holds a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland: GRAI-0622-RB-26-0001, issued on 1 July 2026 and due to expire on 30 June 2029. Trading names listed on the register: Ladbrokes. You can look it up on the GRAI public register; we last checked it on 4 October 2026.

On the site we link to, Ladbrokes states: “Sportsbook is licensed by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland with Licence number GRAI-0622-RB-26-0001” (site footer, read from an Irish IP address on 3 October 2026)

Irish terms: General Terms and Conditions (Republic of Ireland), first published and last updated 1 July 2026 (read them on Ladbrokes’s site).

This file covers sports betting only.

Licence & register

8.5 out of 10. LC International Limited is on the GRAI register as a Remote Betting licensee trading as Ladbrokes. The footer of the page we link to says, in its own words, that the sportsbook is licensed by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland under GRAI-0622-RB-26-0001, and clause 2.4 of the Irish terms repeats the number. Those terms carry a first-published and last-updated date of 1 July 2026, which is exactly what our method asks for, but no version number (−0.5). A full point comes off for presentation: the sports page reads as a UK page, and the “Terms and Conditions” link in its footer opens the general terms rather than the Irish ones. A 2025 UK advertising ruling about Ladbrokes is reported in the trade press, but we could not confirm it on the regulator’s site, so it is not deducted.

Safer-betting tools

8.5 out of 10. Clause 12 of the Irish terms covers time-outs, deposit limits by day, week or month and other financial limits, and self-exclusion for at least six months that can be extended to every Entain brand at once — a useful option, because it saves excluding brand by brand. The same clause already refers to the GRAI’s future national self-exclusion register, which is not yet operating. One point comes off because we could not find how long a higher deposit limit takes to apply at Ladbrokes. Half a point comes off because reality checks are mentioned only in the descriptive text of the sports page; their interval and settings are not documented.

Payments & withdrawal terms

6 out of 10. The method list is long and clear: Visa, Mastercard and Maestro debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, paysafecard, Pay by Bank and bank transfer, with credit cards excluded (clause 9.5). The terms also state that withdrawals to a debit card or bank account carry no fee (9.9) and may be split across the methods you deposited with (9.12). The help pages describe the extra identity check for Irish customers who registered after 1 July 2026. What is not published is how long a withdrawal takes to arrive, and minimum amounts are left to the cashier (9.1). Our method sets 5 for methods without timings; the published fee rule and verification steps lift that to 6.

Market coverage

8.5 out of 10. Read from Ireland on 3 October 2026, the A–Z covered Horse Racing and Greyhounds, Football, Gaelic Games, Rugby Union and Rugby League, and a wide list beyond: tennis, golf, cricket, boxing, MMA, darts, snooker, Formula 1, basketball, ice hockey, esports and politics. In-Play and a Live Stream section are in the menu. Racing, rugby and breadth score in full; Gaelic Games appear as one entry, so football and hurling are not confirmed separately, and we did not see the League of Ireland named on the public pages.

Pricing

Not scored yet. Pricing is reserved for the overround measured on one dated sample of identical markets across the atlas. Until that sample is published, the criterion has no score for any operator and its 10% weight is shared among the other five; Ladbrokes’ 7.9 is the result on those five.

Support & complaints

6.5 out of 10. The complaint route is well defined: customer services, then a manager, then the Ladbrokes Complaints Team, which gives the final internal answer; after that, IBAS within 12 months of the dispute (clause 25). That earns most of the score. It loses the rest on three gaps: the support channels and hours behind the “Help & Contact” page are not published, there is no Irish phone line in the documents we read, and the response times in clause 25.8 (24 hours and eight weeks) are stated for UK customers only, with no equivalent for Ireland.

How scores are built: Methodology. Commission never changes a score.

The company behind the brand

The licence holder is LC International Limited, whose footer address is Suite 6, Atlantic Suites, Gibraltar. On the GRAI register it has a single trading name, Ladbrokes. The same footer notes a separate Gibraltar licence (number 012) for gaming; this file covers sports betting only, which is the part licensed by the GRAI.

Ladbrokes is part of Entain. The Irish terms show the link directly: self-exclusion can be extended to all Entain brands. Another Entain company, ElectraWorks Limited, holds the GRAI licence for Coral, which is why the two files in the atlas share much of their structure — similar terms, similar payment rules, the same dispute body — while remaining two licences held by two companies. More on this in Who owns which bookmaker.

The licence number in the footer links to a PDF copy hosted by Ladbrokes. We did not download it; the GRAI register, checked on 4 October 2026, is our reference for the number and dates. Like every GRAI remote betting licensee since 1 July 2026, LC International Limited must verify age, refuse credit and credit cards, and close an account on request.

Safer-betting tools

Tools listed by Ladbrokes:

  • Deposit limits (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Time-outs
  • Self-exclusion for at least 6 months, which can cover all Entain brands
  • Reality checks (mentioned on the sports page; settings not documented)

Set a limit before your first deposit. If betting stops being fun, the GamblingCare National Helpline is free and open 24/7 on 1800 936 725. Source: Ladbrokes safer gambling pages, checked 4 October 2026.

Payments and withdrawal terms

Payment methods listed by Ladbrokes for customers in Ireland (euro):

  • Debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • PayPal
  • paysafecard
  • Pay by Bank
  • Bank transfer

Since 1 July 2026, GRAI licensees may not accept credit cards or offer credit, so debit cards are the card option.

How a withdrawal works at Ladbrokes

  1. Verify. Irish customers who registered after 1 July 2026 complete an extra verification step; document checks take a couple of hours, sometimes up to 24, as stated by Ladbrokes.
  2. Request. Choose Withdraw; a withdrawal may be split across the methods you deposited with (terms 9.12).
  3. Review. Ladbrokes confirms the request by email with a reference number.
  4. Payment. We could not find published payment times for Ireland.

Market coverage

Ladbrokes has no Irish domain of its own: ladbrokes.ie forwards to ladbrokes.com. The page we link to, ladbrokes.com/en/sports, opened from an Irish IP address on 3 October 2026 without a redirect. It is a shared page. Its title reads “Online Sports Betting & Odds UK”, its promotions are priced in sterling, and a block of text further down refers to the UK Gambling Commission. The GRAI licence for Irish customers is stated in the footer.

Sports in the A–Z on that day included:

  • Horse Racing and Greyhounds
  • Football
  • Gaelic Games
  • Rugby Union and Rugby League
  • Tennis, Golf, Cricket, Darts and Snooker
  • Boxing and MMA
  • Formula 1, American Football, Basketball and Ice Hockey
  • Esports, Politics and TV specials

The menu also has In-Play and a Live Stream section, with “Watch” buttons beside some events; the conditions for watching from an Irish account we could not confirm. The help centre explains cash out and Bet Builder, and says cash out is not always available, so it should not be counted on.

We record what is on offer. The atlas does not publish prices, selections or previews of real events.

Pricing

We have not measured Ladbrokes’ margin. When we do, it will be on the same markets and at the same time as every other operator in the atlas, with the date and time printed next to the result, so the numbers can be compared fairly.

A practical point for that comparison: because the page is shared with the UK, prices shown to a visitor who is not logged in may sit next to sterling amounts. The overround is a ratio and does not depend on currency, but the stake and the return in your account will be in the currency of the account. How the overround is calculated is explained in Bookmaker margins.

Support and complaints

Support: Help & Contact page linked from the site footer (channels and hours not published).

Complaints: Customer Services, then a manager, then the Ladbrokes Complaints Team for a final internal response; ADR named: IBAS, within 12 months of the dispute. The 24-hour and 8-week timings in the terms are stated for UK customers only.

Everyday support starts from the Help & Contact page. The channels and hours behind it are not published, so we cannot list them here.

The complaint route in clause 25 of the Irish terms has three internal stages and one external one:

  1. Customer services.
  2. A manager, if the first answer does not settle it.
  3. The Ladbrokes Complaints Team, contacted in writing, which issues the final internal response.
  4. IBAS, a UK-based betting dispute service, within 12 months of the date of the dispute.

The 24-hour and eight-week targets in clause 25.8 are written for UK customers. For Ireland the terms give no timetable, so note the date of each message yourself.

The GRAI’s complaints page is for reporting a licensee that has broken an obligation already in force; it does not decide individual disputes. See Complaints about a bookmaker for a full walk-through.

Regulatory record

We found no published GRAI enforcement action against LC International Limited as of 4 October 2026.

Before you join

Points to check before you open an account, from Ladbrokes’ own pages as of 4 October 2026:

  • Read the Irish terms, not the general ones. The footer link “Terms and Conditions” opens the general version. The terms for the Republic of Ireland are on a separate page, dated 1 July 2026.
  • A UK-facing page. The sports page we link to is shared with the UK: its title, promotions in sterling and part of its licence text are written for UK customers. The Irish licence is the one in the footer.
  • Verification before withdrawal. Irish customers who registered after 1 July 2026 complete an extra verification step; document checks take a couple of hours and sometimes up to 24, as stated.
  • No published payment times. Ladbrokes confirms each withdrawal request by email with a reference number but does not publish how long the money takes to arrive. Its payments page lists the methods.
  • Self-exclusion across Entain. If you exclude, you can ask for the exclusion to cover every Entain brand, Coral included.

Most bets lose, so treat every stake as spent. Choose a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit before your first deposit. If gambling is causing harm, the GamblingCare National Helpline takes calls free of charge, day and night, on 1800 936 725, and the HSE Drugs and Alcohol Helpline answers on weekdays on 1800 459 459.
