Licence and register

Coral is operated for customers in Ireland by ElectraWorks Limited, which holds a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland: GRAI-0652-RB-26-0001, issued on 1 July 2026 and due to expire on 30 June 2029. Trading names listed on the register: Sportingbet, PartyCasino (Sports), PartyPoker (Sports), Bwin, Coral. You can look it up on the GRAI public register; we last checked it on 4 October 2026.

On the site we link to, Coral states: “Sportsbook is licensed by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland with Licence number GRAI-0652-RB-26-0001” (site footer, read from an Irish IP address on 4 October 2026)

Irish terms: General Terms and Conditions (Republic of Ireland), first published and last updated 1 July 2026 (read them on Coral’s site).

This file covers sports betting only.

Licence & register

8.5 out of 10. ElectraWorks Limited appears on the GRAI register as a Remote Betting licensee with Coral among its trading names. The footer of coral.co.uk/en/sports, read from Ireland on 4 October 2026, states that the sportsbook is licensed by the GRAI under GRAI-0652-RB-26-0001, and clause 2.4 of the terms for the Republic of Ireland gives the same number. The Irish terms were first published and last updated on 1 July 2026. Half a point comes off for the missing version number. A full point comes off for the site itself: a .co.uk address showing amounts only in pounds, with a footer “Terms and Conditions” link that opens the general terms instead of the Irish ones. We found no sanction for 2025–2026.

Safer-betting tools

8 out of 10. Coral is precise about deposit limits: on its deposit limits page, a lower limit applies straight away and a higher one only after 24 hours, which is the cooling-off our method looks for. Clause 12 of the Irish terms adds time-outs and self-exclusion for at least six months, which can be extended to all Entain brands. Two points come off because no reality check appears on Coral’s public pages that we read; our method treats it as a standard tool.

Payments & withdrawal terms

6 out of 10. The deposit methods page lists Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), PayPal, paysafecard, Pay by Bank and bank transfer, and states that credit cards are not accepted. The Irish terms add that withdrawals to a debit card or bank account are free of charge (9.9), that cleared funds and completed checks come first (9.7), and that money returns along the routes you paid in with (9.12); Irish verification can take up to 24 hours. That is enough for a 6 under our method, which sets 5 for methods without timings: Coral does not publish when a withdrawal reaches you, and we could not confirm minimum amounts for Ireland.

Market coverage

9 out of 10. Coral’s menu, read from Ireland, lists both Gaelic Games and Hurling as entries, alongside Horse Racing and Greyhounds, Rugby Union and Rugby League, and a broad range from darts and snooker to Formula 1 and esports. In-play is in the main menu, and the help centre documents cash out and partial cash out. Four of our five groups score in full. The one point withheld is for football: it is there, but the League of Ireland was not named on the pages we could read.

Pricing

Not scored yet. This criterion will come from a dated sample of identical markets measured at every operator at once. The sample has not been taken, so Pricing is blank across the atlas and its 10% weight is redistributed. Coral’s 7.7 reflects the other five criteria only.

Support & complaints

5 out of 10. The written complaint route is solid: customer services, a manager, then the Coral Complaints Team for a final internal response, and after that IBAS, within 12 months (clause 25). Everything else our method asks for is missing from the public pages. We could not confirm which channels sit behind the “Help and Contact” link or when they are staffed; we found no Irish phone number; and the 24-hour and eight-week response targets in the terms apply to UK customers, leaving Irish customers without a stated timetable.

How scores are built: Methodology. Commission never changes a score.

The company behind the brand

The licence holder is ElectraWorks Limited, whose footer address is Suite 6, Atlantic Suites, Gibraltar. It is one of the busiest entries on the GRAI register: five trading names under a single licence — Sportingbet, PartyCasino (Sports), PartyPoker (Sports), Bwin and Coral. Clause 2.2 of the Irish terms confirms that ElectraWorks runs Coral, PartyCasino, PartyPoker, Sportingbet and bwin for customers in the Republic of Ireland, and that the terms cover every Coral website and app.

A shared licence has a practical effect. A sanction, a suspension or a change to the licence would apply to all five names at once, and the register is the place to watch for it; changes we record appear in Register changes. The footer also mentions a Gibraltar licence (number 050) for gaming, which is outside this file: the atlas covers sports betting under GRAI licences only.

Coral belongs to Entain. The Irish terms allow self-exclusion across all Entain brands, and Entain publishes the Coral logo on its corporate site. Ladbrokes, another Entain brand, is licensed separately through LC International Limited. See Who owns which bookmaker for the full map of brands and licence holders.

Safer-betting tools

Tools listed by Coral:

  • Deposit limits (decreases at once, increases after 24 hours)
  • Time-outs
  • Self-exclusion for at least 6 months, which can cover all Entain brands

Payments and withdrawal terms

Payment methods listed by Coral for customers in Ireland (euro):

  • Debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • PayPal
  • paysafecard
  • Pay by Bank
  • Bank transfer

Since 1 July 2026, GRAI licensees may not accept credit cards or offer credit, so debit cards are the card option.

How a withdrawal works at Coral

  1. Verify. Irish verification can take up to 24 hours, as stated by Coral.
  2. Request. Withdraw to your debit card or bank account; no fee listed (terms 9.9).
  3. Review. Only cleared funds can be withdrawn, once verification checks are complete and no investigation is open (terms 9.7).
  4. Payment. We could not find published payment times for Ireland.

Source: Coral help: verification (Ireland), checked 4 October 2026. Timings depend on identity checks, the method and your bank.

Market coverage

The address we link to is coral.co.uk/en/sports. Clause 2.2 of the Irish terms makes clear that customers in Ireland use the Coral websites, and the page opened from an Irish IP address on 4 October 2026 without a redirect. It is the same page UK customers see: amounts appeared only in pounds, and the text described Coral as a UK bookmaker since 1926. We could not confirm a separate Irish domain.

The sports menu that day included:

  • Horse Racing and Greyhounds
  • Gaelic Games and Hurling
  • Football
  • Rugby Union and Rugby League
  • Tennis, Golf, Cricket, Darts and Snooker
  • Boxing and UFC/MMA
  • Formula 1, Motor Sports, Basketball, American Football and Ice Hockey
  • Esports, Politics and TV Specials

IN-PLAY has its own entry. Coral’s cash out help page covers both full and partial cash out; like every operator, Coral decides when a cash-out offer is available and can suspend it. We could not confirm live streaming for Irish accounts.

The atlas reports what is offered and does not publish prices, selections or previews of real events.

Pricing

Coral’s margin is not yet measured. The atlas will record the same markets at all operators at one time and publish each overround with the timestamp of the sample.

Two notes for when it is. First, prices on coral.co.uk appear next to sterling amounts; the overround is a ratio, so the currency does not change it, but your own stakes will be in your account currency. Second, the five brands on ElectraWorks’ licence may not price markets identically; the sample covers Coral only. Bookmaker margins shows the calculation on an imaginary market.

Support and complaints

Support: Help and Contact page linked from the site footer; we could not confirm the channels and hours.

Complaints: Customer Services, then a manager, then the Coral Complaints Team for a final internal response; ADR named: IBAS, within 12 months. The 24-hour and 8-week timings in the terms are stated for UK customers only.

Support begins at the Help and Contact page linked from the footer. We could not confirm the channels or opening hours from the public pages.

Clause 25 of the Irish terms sets out the complaint route:

  1. Raise the complaint with customer services.
  2. Ask for it to go to a manager if the answer does not resolve it.
  3. Write to the Coral Complaints Team, which gives the final internal response.
  4. Refer the dispute to IBAS, a UK-based betting dispute service, within 12 months.

Because the stated response times apply to UK customers, keep your own record: the date of each contact, the bet reference, a screenshot of the bet slip and copies of every reply.

Separately, the GRAI takes reports that a licensee has breached an obligation already in force, such as accepting a credit card; it does not resolve disputes over individual bets. The options are compared in Complaints about a bookmaker.

Regulatory record

We found no published GRAI enforcement action against ElectraWorks Limited as of 4 October 2026.

Before you join

Points to check before opening an account, from Coral’s own pages as of 4 October 2026:

  • A UK site, Irish terms. coral.co.uk shows pounds and UK wording. The rules that apply to you are the terms for the Republic of Ireland, not the general terms linked in the footer.
  • Check the currency. Confirm in the cashier that your account is in euro before the first deposit.
  • Verification first. Irish account verification can take up to 24 hours, and withdrawals wait for it.
  • Limits. Lowering a deposit limit works at once; raising one takes 24 hours. The deposit methods page lists what you can pay with.
  • One exclusion, many brands. Self-exclusion can cover all Entain brands, including Ladbrokes, if you ask for it.
  • No timetable for Irish complaints. Keep dated records from the start.

Betting is paid entertainment, and most bets lose. Choose a deposit limit before the first deposit. Free, confidential help is available from the GamblingCare National Helpline, 24/7, on 1800 936 725, and from the HSE Drugs and Alcohol Helpline, weekdays, 1800 459 459.
